Our client requested a structure that looked minimalistic, felt open, and allowed as much sunlight as possible to pass through. They didn’t want anything bulky or heavy — instead, they wanted a design that was sleek, elegant, and practical for everyday use. We took that vision and created a modern outdoor extension that blends perfectly with the building’s brick exterior while offering long-term strength and functionality.

Design Concept & Approach

Maximizing Light and Space

Traditional porches often block light or create a closed-off feeling. To avoid that, we designed the entire structure using slim, strong steel profiles combined with a grated steel floor. This choice allows light to pass through both the railings and the surface of the porch, keeping the lower level bright and preventing shadows from making the backyard feel smaller.

Minimalistic Cable Railing System

The cable railing is the highlight of the project. The thin stainless-steel cables create clean horizontal lines that give the porch a modern, almost architectural look. They provide full safety and stability without blocking views of the yard, neighboring garden areas, or natural light.

Custom-Built Staircase

The staircase was engineered to be both functional and visually balanced. Its streamlined design complements the upper deck, and the open risers contribute to the overall concept of transparency and openness. The railing continues seamlessly down the stairs, creating a cohesive design from top to bottom.
